Dr. Vienna Lafrenz graduated with her PhD in Integrative Medicine from Quantum University in October 2016. She received certification as a Brainmapping and Neurofeedback Technician in March 2015. Her PhD dissertation focused on the reduction of chronic pain using pulsed therapeutic ultrasound over acupuncture points, demonstrated through brain mapping the clients before and after one treatment, which resulted in a reduction in pain symptoms and resultant changes in the brain. Dr. Lafrenz has her own integrative and natural medicine practice in the state of Washington. She has presented throughout the USA and internationally in the areas of pain modulation and other health related topics.
She served on the corporate faculty for the Pain Collaborative for Kindred Healthcare, where she served as a National Clinical Specialist for 15 years during her Occupational Therapy profession. She is co-author in the book “Wake-up: Miracles of Healing around the World”. She has specialized in pain modulation for the past 30 years, integrating Eastern Medicine techniques with Western technology with wonderful results.
Her passion for pain reduction and modulation began during her years as a clinical specialist, with the over-prescription of pain medications and their imminent negative impact on the client’s health without noticeable reduction of symptoms or improved quality of life. She has a passion to help her client’s gain control over their pain and health by educating them in techniques they can implement in the comfort of their homes, resulting in less reliance on the medical field and more reliance on themselves to heal their magnificent body, mind, and spirit.
